The Analyst serves as the cornerstone of Nextier's intellectual and analytical capabilities, playing a pivotal role in the design, research, and implementation of evidence-based strategies for clients. This position is integral to addressing complex challenges within governance, economic development, social impact, and institutional reform across Africa's public policy landscape. The successful candidate will apply rigorous critical thinking and structured problem-solving methodologies to drive high-quality client deliverables, contribute to business growth, and advance the firm's thought leadership. Responsibilities
- Apply structured analytical frameworks to investigate complex development issues, conducting comprehensive literature reviews, contextual analyses, and stakeholder mapping across key thematic areas.
- Collect, clean, and interpret diverse quantitative and qualitative datasets using advanced tools to formulate logical models, evidence-based recommendations, and actionable policy strategies.
- Translate technical findings into clear, compelling narratives for client reports, presentations, and strategic documents, ensuring high standards of quality assurance.
- Assist in crafting concept notes, proposals, and expressions of interest by conducting market research, analyzing funding opportunities, and developing analytical sections for bid submissions.
- Facilitate client workshops and stakeholder meetings, capturing key insights to synthesize into strategic action plans while providing analytical support for high-level briefings.
- Author policy briefs, research papers, and articles to enhance the firm's thought leadership, while maintaining internal knowledge repositories and leading internal learning sessions on emerging topics.
- Support the planning and execution of the Nextier Development Discourse Series and related events, including speaker coordination, content development, and outcome documentation.
- Propose process improvements for project management and data utilization, collaborate across business units for integrated solutions, and mentor interns to foster team capacity.
- Execute additional administrative or project-specific tasks as required to meet evolving business needs.
