Summary

The Program Officer serves as a pivotal leader in driving program development, management, and technical expertise across critical sectors including politics, governance, education, peace-building, policy formulation, and civil society strengthening. Responsibilities

  • Direct the lifecycle of programs, offering oversight in development, execution, research, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Provide technical guidance on strengthening civil society, focusing on leadership cultivation, advocacy strategies, civic participation, governance, and community-based institutional growth.
  • Author high-caliber documentation, including donor proposals, grantee agreements, training curricula, research findings, and comprehensive program reports.
  • Support the Executive Director with overall program administration, including progress tracking, strategic planning updates, budget monitoring, human resources coordination, and the management of sub-agreements and consultant contracts.
  • Oversee daily project operations and maintain clear, professional communication with internal teams, external partners, and consultants.
  • Lead administrative initiatives for the Executive Director, fostering collaboration with partners to design, implement, and refine project management systems and tools.
  • Create, manage, and update comprehensive project plans and financial budgets.
  • Drive program performance and facilitate transparent communication across the team.
  • Coordinate logistical requirements, including travel arrangements, event planning, and adherence to security protocols, communication standards, and licensing obligations.
