Job Description

Middle School Academic Seminar Team Lead 

Full-Time (10-month), Non-Exempt, Category 4

 

The Academic Seminar Coordinator leads a dynamic middle school academic support program focused on executive function development, student accountability, and academic success. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Design and teach Executive Function lessons on organization, time management, study skills, prioritization, and test preparation. 
  • Tutor middle school students in core subjects, providing individualized academic support and test/project guidance. 
  • Promote student accountability by monitoring assignments, supporting planning and organization, and reinforcing timely submission of work. 
  • Mentor students in goal setting, self-advocacy, and social-emotional growth. 
  • Schedule, supervise, and train Academic Seminar tutors to ensure high-quality student support. 
  • Serve as a liaison between the Learning Center and Middle School faculty. 
  • Develop lesson materials, workshops (including summer Executive Function workshops), and weekly program communications. 

Qualifications 

  • Experience working with middle school students. 
  • Strong knowledge of executive function strategies. 
  • Ability to tutor across core subjects. 
  • Leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
