The Nurse Educator over the Nurse Residency Coordinator is a registered nurse who works as an expert practitioner within a specialized field of nursing. This individual is responsible for evaluating and implementing evidence-based practice, education, and professional development, within areas of the hospital where new graduates are hired. They serve as a clinical resource for new graduates and other nursing staff for bedside care.

Education: Graduate of an accredited NLN approved RN program. Bachelor's degree in Nursing required, Master's degree in Education preferred.

Experience: Five (5) years of recent clinical experience in a Medical/Surgical setting.  One year of education background preferred.

License or Registration Requirements: Current SC nursing license or compact state license; BLS, ACLS required. Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, outcomes oriented, and knowledge of education methods and clinical practice.
