Summary

The Chemical Process Technician plays a key role in developing and scaling advanced polymer materials for semiconductor and electronics applications. This hands-on position blends laboratory experimentation with pilot-scale production, offering the opportunity to work closely with engineers & scientists to bring new processes from concept to manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

Laboratory/Process Operations

  • Conduct laboratory and pilot-scale experiments for process development and scale-up
  • Execute batch processing and monitor chemical equipment per SOPs
  • Perform in-process sampling and support QC testing

Equipment & Troubleshooting

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot processing equipment
  • Support process improvements and root cause investigations

Documentation & Compliance

  • Accurately record production and experimental data
  • Review and update batch sheets and work instructions
  • Handle hazardous materials and waste per safety regulations

Facility & Support Activities

  • Maintain clean and organized work areas
  • Support audits and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage supplies and track inventory

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1–4 years experience in chemical processing, lab, or manufacturing
  • Experience with batch processing or pilot plant operations a plus
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and work independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
