HIV Medicine Clinic - Albany, NY

Our HIV Clinic has an exciting growth opportunity for an RN Nurse Supervisor to join our team of dedicated healthcare providers!

The Nurse Supervisor provides day-to-day management of clinical operations within the department. Responsible for staff supervision, clinic workflow, patient triage, and clinical quality initiatives. Works closely with the other Managers, Administrator and the Division Chief to establish and maintain an efficient, cohesive and productive work team.Ā 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:Ā 
•   Ā Responsible for patient flow through clinic and all point-of-care testing
•   Ā Supervises Triage Nurses and workflows
•   Ā Maintains highest level of professionalism and positively leads by example.
•   Ā Reviews processes and procedures to ensure optimal clinic workflow and capturing of charges.
•   Ā Develops and motivates staff to work effectively and within their licensure.
•   Ā Fosters a strong, collaborative relationship with the Practice Coordinator.
•   Ā Attends Sr. Manager meetings and Works with fellow managers to troubleshoot and resolve issues, elevating when necessary.
•   Ā Protects confidentiality of all patient and staff-related concerns.
•   Ā Oversees supply and medication ordering in a cost-conscious manner.
•   Ā Responsible for Joint Commission compliance and weekly tracer submission.


Minimum Qualifications:
•   Ā Associate’s degree in Nursing is required, BSN is preferred.
•   Ā NYS Registered Nurse Licensure is required.
•   Ā Current BLS certification.
•   Ā Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience is required, preferably in a charge or supervisory role.Ā 


The Albany Medical College Division of HIV Medicine (DHIVM) offers comprehensive HIV services including primary medical care, medical case management, medication adherence, peer services, substance abuse counseling, mental health counseling and psychiatric services, nutrition services, gynecological services, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C management/ treatment, referral to clinical trials, pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), post exposure prophylaxis (PEP), and HIV counseling and testing. This is a dynamic, quality focused, team-based department.
