TheĀ Account Executive (AE)Ā will provideĀ professional,Ā courteousĀ account management and brokerageĀ servicesĀ toĀ assignedĀ clients, having the primary responsibility for account retention.Ā Ā Ā Working alongsideĀ ProducersĀ (aka ā€œClient Executives / Salesā€)Ā as assigned, theĀ AEĀ shall be principally responsible for overseeing management of assigned accounts, including redundant interface with appropriate decision makers, proactiveĀ consultation, insurance program design, carrier interface/marketing, coordination of risk control resources, relevant collaboration with colleaguesĀ throughout HUB, and negotiation of coverage terms and conditions.Ā Ā

TheĀ AEĀ willĀ interface withĀ Account Managers (AMs)Ā directly for assigned accounts, involving assigned individuals appropriately inĀ service-relatedĀ activities in support of clients.Ā Ā In general, issues related to coverage applicability, exposure evaluation, contractual requirements, and program designĀ fall within the domain of theĀ AE.Ā Ā Issues related to policy processing,Ā maintenance of client data on theĀ EPICĀ agency management system,Ā routine changes (e.g.,Ā adding a new vehicle to the policy), and other transactional or clerical work fall within the domain of theĀ AM.Ā Ā Ā

JOBĀ RESPONSIBILITIESĀ 

Ā 

  • Working alongside and cooperatively withĀ Producers, if assigned on accounts,Ā serveĀ as the HUB’s primary consultant to the client.Ā Ā TheĀ ProducerĀ hasĀ primaryĀ responsibility for client relationship management andĀ initiatingĀ new sales.Ā Ā The AEĀ has primary responsibility forĀ retainingĀ the account, acting as the de facto technical expertĀ and broker-consultant.Ā Ā (In someĀ instances,Ā noĀ ProducerĀ will beĀ assigned,Ā and theĀ AEĀ also is primarily responsible for client relationship management.)Ā 

  • EnsureĀ Producers, when assigned, are fully informedĀ about,Ā and prepared for all client meetings and interfacesĀ toĀ be able toĀ manage the client relationship competently and proactively.Ā Ā Ā 

  • Establish andĀ maintainĀ strong and productive professional relationships with ā€œC-Levelā€ and otherĀ decision makers for assigned HUB clients.Ā Ā 

  • Possess a detailed knowledge of the client’s business and industry, being able to articulate applicable exposures to loss, insuranceĀ coverages, and appropriate/available risk management/control solutions.Ā 

  • Establish andĀ maintainĀ strong and productive professional relationships with insurance carrier marketing, underwriting, and risk control staff, including a detailed familiarity with each carrier’s products and services in support ofĀ assignedĀ clients.Ā 

  • Directly oversee and coordinate the delivery of all HUB services to assigned clients throughout the policy cycle, including stewardship reports, delivery of risk control services, carrier meetings, claims reviews, preparation of coverage outlines, and marketing of emergent and renewal coverage requests.Ā 

  • Work cooperatively andĀ professionally withĀ AMĀ colleagues to deliver HUB services as described above, using the interface as an opportunity to teach, train, and mentorĀ AMĀ team members.Ā Ā Provide input and feedback to theĀ Head of P&CĀ as to the performance ofĀ AMĀ staff on assigned accounts.Ā 

  • Ensure that all client service needs are promptly and professionally delivered, either directly by theĀ AEĀ or via HUB colleagues (e.g.,Ā AMs,Ā Small Business Unit, Risk Control, etc.).Ā Ā TheĀ AEĀ isĀ accountableĀ for the competence, timeliness, and quality of all deliverables to the client.Ā 

  • Conduct annual review w/clients making coverage and loss control recommendations focused on reducing theĀ client’sĀ total cost of risk.Ā Ā 

  • ManageĀ HUBĀ Top 200 process.Ā 

  • IdentifyĀ opportunitiesĀ for cross-sell and up-sell of other HUB products and services whenĀ appropriate forĀ theĀ clientsĀ needs,Ā initiatingĀ same.Ā Ā At all times, be knowledgeable about and document what other insurance products and services theĀ clients areĀ purchasing through other providers and who those providers are.Ā 

  • Work with the Producer, if assigned, or be primarily responsible forĀ maintainingĀ current receivable status for assigned clients.Ā Ā Proactive efforts to collectĀ receivablesĀ more thanĀ 30 daysĀ past-dueĀ should be undertaken, with each unresolved circumstance documented and reported to accounting.Ā 

  • Possess a mastery of the various HUB resources and tools that are available via ā€œHUB Today,ā€ employing same to best serveĀ assigned clients and work withĀ Producers.Ā 

  • Be knowledgeable about andĀ comply withĀ HUBĀ systems,Ā procedures,Ā andĀ state/federalĀ insuranceĀ regulations.Ā 

  • PossessĀ a strongĀ ability to effectively communicate, orallyĀ and in writing, which will include the ability toĀ design and deliver effectiveĀ group presentations using various media.Ā Ā This may range from conducting internal training toĀ a sales or renewal presentation at a client’s office.Ā 

  • Be actively involved with professional and/or civic associations on behalf of HUB.Ā

QUALIFICATIONSĀ 

  • BA or BS degreeĀ preferred.Ā 

  • At least 7 yearsĀ ofĀ experience servicing largeĀ accounts.Ā 

  • Experience with influencing C-level executivesĀ 

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skillsĀ Ā 

  • ProficiencyĀ with Microsoft Office Suite and PowerPoint programsĀ 

  • High energy, detail-oriented self-starterĀ Ā 

  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building skillsĀ Ā 

  • Significant skill in handling competing demands andĀ projects.Ā Ā 

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and delegateĀ responsibility.Ā Ā 

  • Willingness to travelĀ Ā
