Finance Manager

Job Details: Job Location: Uptown - Albuquerque, NM, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Verus Research is searching for a Finance Manager to support our growing research and development (R&D) organization. The Finance Manager will oversee Accounts Payable and Payroll, including the employees and processes supporting these functions. This position will also support broader accounting and finance activities, including month-end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, audits, internal controls, and other financial initiatives. The Finance Manager will help ensure financial processes are accurate, timely, and responsive to the needs of the enterprise. This posting is for work in the Albuquerque, NM, area. The ideal candidate for the Finance Manager position will possess strong technical and leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Success in this role will stem from:• U.S. citizenship• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with five (5) or more years of relevant experience• Experience leading employees and overseeing Accounts Payable and Payroll functions• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, account reconciliations, month-end close, and internal controls• Experience developing and improving financial policies, procedures, and processes• Experience supporting financial audits and related documentation requirements• Demonstrated proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and payroll systems; experience with JAMIS Prime and Paycom is preferred• Strong Microsoft Excel and financial analysis skills• Demonstrated ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and drive activities through to completion• Experience with government aerospace or defense contracting and knowledge of FAR, CAS, and DCAA requirements is preferred• CPA, CMA, Master’s degree, or other relevant professional certification is preferred Qualifications: Work Location: In-person, Albuquerque, NM, USAJob Type: Full-timeSalary: $120,000 - $150,000 per yearSupplemental pay types: Bonus opportunities Signing bonusBenefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Employee assistance program Health insurance Life insurance Unlimited Paid time off Parental leave Professional development assistance Referral program Relocation assistance Tuition reimbursement Vision insurance Participation in Radiance Technologies ESOPSchedule: 8-hour shift Monday to Friday
