Description

Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. (SEMP) is a multi-state contractor headquartered in California, specializing in commercial skilled trade services. We are seeking a licensed Plumbing Qualifying Party to oversee commercial plumbing operations in New Mexico and ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.


This role carries responsibility for regulatory compliance, supervision of plumbing operations, and the quality of commercial plumbing work performed under the company’s contractor license. The successful candidate must meet New Mexico Construction Industries Division (CID) requirements to serve as the company’s Qualifying Party.


Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Qualifying Party (QP) for plumbing operations in New Mexico
  • Ensure compliance with New Mexico Construction Industries Division (CID) requirements and applicable state and local plumbing, building, and safety codes
  • Provide technical oversight and required supervision for commercial plumbing installations, repairs, service work, and projects
  • Review plumbing work for code compliance, quality standards, and industry best practices
  • Support permitting, inspections, audits, and regulatory inquiries as required
  • Maintain accurate records related to permits, inspections, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain an active and compliant New Mexico CID Qualifying Party certificate

Requirements

  • Active New Mexico Construction Industries Division (CID) Qualifying Party certificate in the applicable plumbing classification (MM-1 and/or MM-98, as applicable) and in good standing
  • Eligible and available to serve as the Qualifying Party for a New Mexico plumbing contractor in accordance with CID requirements
  • Recent and relevant commercial plumbing experience related to the responsibilities and scope of a Qualifying Party
  • Strong knowledge of New Mexico CID requirements and applicable state and local plumbing and building codes
  • Ability to provide required supervision, technical oversight, and direction of commercial plumbing operations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience serving as an RME, Qualifying Party, or Plumbing Manager
  • Experience with commercial and/or multi-site plumbing operations
  • Willingness to work in a hybrid or consultative capacity if needed
