RWE Renewables Iberia S.A.U.
To start as soon as possible, part time, fixed term

The Solar Operations team at RWE Renewables is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our solar plants. This includes planning and coordinating maintenance activities, following up technical issues, supporting site teams, working with contractors and other departments, and continuously improving the way our plants are operated and maintained.

About the role

This is a one-year internship designed as a first professional experience for students who want to start developing their career in renewable energy and solar operations.

You will work closely with the Operations Manager and Site Managers and gain practical exposure to the day-to-day management of utility-scale solar plants.

The role is particularly suited to someone interested in solar plant operations, maintenance and technical coordination, rather than a purely data-analysis or reporting position.

During the year, you will progressively become involved in real operational topics and learn how maintenance activities, technical issues, contractors and site priorities are managed in practice.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the preparation, review and follow-up of preventive and corrective maintenance plans
  • Helping Site Managers coordinate technical activities and follow up open actions at the plants
  • Tracking maintenance activities, technical issues and contractor actions to ensure they are properly completed and closed
  • Supporting the coordination of contractors, suppliers and internal departments
  • Reviewing technical documentation, maintenance reports and operational information
  • Helping identify operational problems and supporting the team in defining and following up corrective actions
  • Supporting the organization and improvement of operational and maintenance processes
  • Participating in operational meetings, technical discussions and site-related projects
  • Supporting innovation and continuous improvement initiatives within Solar Operations
  • Preparing simple operational trackers, summaries and documentation when required

The role may also involve occasional visits to solar plants to better understand the equipment, maintenance activities and challenges faced by the site teams.
