PreOp/PACU Nurse - Franconia-Springfield ASC

Inova Franconia Springfield Ambulatory Surgery Center is currently hiring a seasoned PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse to become an integral member of our team, delivering unparalleled care to our patients. The position will be standard PRN with varied hours and days based on the needs of the unit.

WORK SCHEDULE: 

• Day shift only, no nights, weekends, call, or holidays

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Care for surgical patients as they recover from anesthesia
• Monitor and chart vital signs, such as heart or respiratory rate, blood pressure, or oxygen level
• Comfort patients as they wake; may be required to gently restrain patients
• Check surgical site for excessive bleeding or swelling
• Educate patients on care for the surgical wound or other post-discharge care. 
• Cross-train to work in PreOperative area to meet the needs of the unit

EXPERIENCE YOU'LL NEED:

• One or more years of PreOp PACU/Critical Care nursing experience required
• Prior PreOp/PostOp experience in an ASC is strongly desired
• Current licensure in Virginia as a Registered Nurse
• Current BLS certification
• ACLS/PALS certification preferred within six (6) months of date of hire
