Responsibilities

Ā 

Physician (1099) Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting intakes. Physicians see patients after they have already undergone an extensiveĀ evaluation by the counselor.
  • Monitor patients' clinical progress at regular group counseling sessions. Groups are run by specializedĀ counseling staff; physicians participate by answering questions and managing patients’ medicationĀ dosing.
  • Authorize patients' prescriptions during monthly visits with patient panels.
  • Complete all notes and reporting in Groups EMR system within required timeline (providers receive fullĀ orientation/ training on Clinical Protocols before eligible to begin work with Groups)

*We utilize strict protocols to guide clinical decision-making. We have also developed a unique, technology-drivenĀ and team-based clinical system that handles all day-to-day patient management and regulatory compliance. This allows physicians to focus exclusively on medical management.

Qualifications

Ā 

Physician (1099) Requirements:

  • Active, Unencumbered State License (MD/DO) in the State in which you are applying.
  • Active, Individual DEA with address listed in the State in which you are applying (please note that if you intend on prescribing in multiple states, a separate DEA is required in each state in which you are planning on prescribing).
  • DEAX designation as formerly required to prescribe Buprenorphine or proof of 8hrs of qualified training as assigned by SAMHSA will be required
  • Minimum 1 year actively prescribing Buprenorphine.
  • Proof of Active Board Certification (MD or DO; any specialty)
  • Ability to work in-office at least 5hrs per week.Ā 
  • Eligibility for hours will commence approx. 3 months after initiation of credentialing and training.Ā
