Sonic Summary

An urgent requirement exists for an AWS Cloud Security Engineer on a contract basis in Melbourne or Sydney.
Candidates should have experience in AWS Organizations, SCP/RCP design, and implementation, along with cloud security governance across multi-account AWS environments.
A strong understanding of AWS IAM, permission boundaries, and access control models is essential, as well as proficiency in Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
The role requires scripting and automation skills using Python and PowerShell, with familiarity in AWS security services like Config and CloudTrail.
This 6-month contract position is open to Australian or New Zealand citizens and PR holders, with an attractive salary offered.

Urgent requirement of AWS Cloud Security Engineer - Contract - Melbourne/ Sydney

Desirable Skills & Experience:

• AWS Organizations and SCP / RCP design and implementation.

• Cloud security governance and guardrails across multi account AWS environments.

• Strong understanding of AWS IAM, permission boundaries and access control models.

• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred, CloudFormation desirable).

• Scripting and automation using Python and PowerShell.

• AWS security services including Config and CloudTrail.

• Policy as Code and compliance automation (Config Rules, Cloud Custodian or similar).

• Experience building automated security controls and remediation workflows.

• CI/CD integration for security and compliance enforcement.

Duration: 06 Months and possible extension
