POSITION SUMMARY:

Focus Interpreting is looking for a proficient Grebo Interpreter with a strong understanding of English legal terminology to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing accurate and sensitive interpretation services in legal contexts, facilitating effective communication between Grebo-speaking clients and English-speaking legal professionals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide interpretation services between Grebo and English during legal proceedings, consultations, and related meetings.
• Utilize knowledge of English legal terminology to ensure accurate transmission of complex legal concepts.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
• Prepare for assignments by reviewing case material and relevant legal terminology.
• Ensure cultural nuances are appropriately conveyed to support clear understanding.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Fluency in Grebo and English with excellent verbal communication skills.
• Strong understanding of English legal terminology and concepts.
• Prior experience in legal interpretation preferred.
