Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and Verizon are proud to present the Verizon Immersion Program.

Responsibilities

We are thrilled to announce the 2026 Verizon Immersion Program—an exclusive opportunity for 25 students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to gain a hands-on, behind-the-scenes experience at Verizon’s corporate headquarters in Basking Ridge, NJ.

Program Highlights

  • Immersive Learning: Explore Verizon’s organizational structure and dynamic workplace culture through interactive simulations and workshops.

  • Executive Networking: Connect with Verizon executives to gain valuable insights, mentorship, and industry perspective.

  • Case Study Engagement: Tackle real-world business challenges to sharpen your critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Recruitment Preparation: Participate in targeted recruitment activities designed to help you stand out in future hiring processes.

  • Employee Resource Group (ERG) Integration: Engage with Verizon’s Partner ERG to build a community and experience Verizon’s inclusive culture firsthand.

This program is intentionally designed as a launchpad for future career opportunities. All participants will be considered for internships with Verizon in Summer 2027. 

 

Verizon Immersion Program Details

Dates: October 20–23, 2026
Location: Verizon Headquarters – Basking Ridge, NJ
Expenses: All travel, lodging, and meals are fully covered for selected participants.


Qualifications

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for the 2026 Verizon Immersion Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a current Junior (December 2027 - June 2028 Graduation Date) at the time of the program.

  • Must attend a Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) member school.

  • Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

  • Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree, preferably in one of the following majors:

    • Business Administration

    • Supply Chain
    • Finance/Accounting

    • Technology

    • Computer Science
    • Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, and Computer)

  • Must be available to travel and fully participate in the Verizon Immersion Program, taking place October 20–23, 2026, in Basking Ridge, NJ.

  • Must be able to demonstrate readiness for immediate and future career opportunities at Verizon.

  • Complete the TMCF Immersion Program Application.

  • Upload a TMCF-formatted rĂ©sumĂ©.
