Centrax Digital is recruiting on behalf of a client in the finance sector for a Project Manager to plan, coordinate and deliver priority business projects within agreed scope, time, cost, quality, risk and stakeholder expectations.
The role provides structured project management discipline across business-as-usual, operational improvement, regulatory, reporting, risk, control, systems and transformation-related initiatives. It requires strong delivery ownership, practical governance, disciplined planning, proactive issue resolution and clear communication with senior stakeholders, project teams, business owners, vendors and delivery partners.
Key focus areas: defining scope, milestones, dependencies and success criteria; maintaining integrated plans, RAID logs, decision logs and action trackers; applying agile or scrum practices where appropriate; establishing practical governance and preparing status reports and steering committee packs; managing stakeholders and change through readiness, handover and transition; and coordinating process, systems and vendor activities including testing, cutover and post-implementation stabilisation.
Reports to: Programme Manager / Portfolio Lead / Senior Manager. Business area: Group Finance / Operations. Onsite, fixed term contract.
Requirements
ā¢ Minimum 5 years' project management experience, preferably in finance, operations, insurance, banking, financial services, professional services or a regulated business environment
ā¢ Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional projects with senior stakeholders and multiple delivery teams
ā¢ Experience delivering initiatives linked to reporting, controls, audit, compliance, risk, process improvement, systems, data or operational change
ā¢ Experience with agile, hybrid or waterfall delivery methods, with the ability to tailor the approach to the project context
ā¢ Strong project planning, coordination, governance, facilitation and delivery management skills
ā¢ Excellent written and verbal communication, including concise executive-level updates
ā¢ Strong stakeholder management, influencing, problem-solving and decision-support capability
ā¢ Ability to manage ambiguity, competing priorities, deadlines, risks and stakeholder expectations
ā¢ Ability to maintain project discipline in a non-automated environment
ā¢ Good understanding of business processes, finance operations, reporting cycles, audit, controls, risk and compliance environments
ā¢ Competence in project management tools, Microsoft Office, collaboration platforms and project reporting templates
