Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

Develops competitive and profitable pricing strategies, rates, and contract proposals for assigned trade lanes and customers.Supports revenue growth through pricing analysis, market evaluation, and contract management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze costs, market conditions, and business data to develop pricing proposals and rate offerings.
  • Prepare and respond to RFPs in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Freight Services, and Operations teams on pricing initiatives and market opportunities.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and agreements to maximize profitability.
  • Develop and maintain pricing models, costing tools, and net analysis spreadsheets.
  • Manage carrier contracts, slot charter agreements, tariffs, and pricing documentation.
  • Participate in customer, vendor, and internal meetings to support pricing strategies and business objectives.
  • Maintain assigned trade lane contracts, tariffs, and rates.
     

Qualifications

Education & Credentials:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Transportation, Logistics, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 2–4 years of industry experience, including 1–2 years in customer service or sales.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and pricing strategy skills.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
  • Knowledge of statistical methods, pricing models, forecasting techniques, and competitive pricing strategies.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge or experience in data analytics tools such as Power BI, SQL, and advanced Excel is highly desirable.
     

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Outlook and Excel.

Other:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
