This position is responsible for installing residential fire sprinkler systems in production tract homes and single-family communities in accordance with approved plans, project specifications, NFPA standards, and local code requirements. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, efficient in a fast-paced construction environment, takes pride in quality workmanship, and works well independently and as part of a team. Opportunities exist to train new hires and provide on-site leadership.   Responsibilities Install residential fire sprinkler systems in tract homes and single-family projects according to blueprints, specifications, and local building codes. This includes laying out piping, installing sprinkler heads, valves, pumps, and other components (including CPVC). Read and interpret plans, specifications, and shop drawings. Ensure installations comply with NFPA 13D, NFPA 13R, and applicable local codes. Adhere to all safety protocols and use appropriate PPE while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Collaborate with builders, inspectors, other trades, and project teams to meet production schedules and goals. Train new hires as needed; supervise or assist in supervising on-site crews to ensure complete and code-compliant installations. Notify supervisor of material needs with ample notice. Conduct or assist with fire sprinkler inspections with local AHJ inspectors. Identify, track, manage, resolve, and communicate project issues, site observations, and punch list items to resolution. Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, tests, and repairs. Communicate effectively with Project Managers, Supervisors, and Field Operations.
