The AssistantĀ PrincipalĀ directs and coordinates educational,Ā administrativeĀ and counseling activities of high school students by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.Ā

Ensures conformance of educational programs to state and local school board standards through evaluation,Ā developmentĀ and coordination activities; As needed, researches and implements non-K12 curriculum resources that meet stateĀ standards;Ā
Helps articulate the schoolās mission and vision with the aim of ensuring all stakeholders haveĀ a common understandingĀ and are positioned to work cooperativelyĀ toĀ achieve desired results;Ā Utilizes/relies heavily upon communication technologies and practices that most effectively support aĀ predominantly virtual / remoteĀ workĀ environment;Ā
Ensures that the school is meeting the needs of students whileĀ complying withĀ local, state, and federal lawsĀ regardingĀ special education and other categorical programs (such as Title I, LAP, CTE);Ā
Interfaces with students, families, local Municipal Court systems, and local districtsĀ regardingĀ compliance as it relates to student attendance and engagement in educational program as defined by school policy and student handbook expectations;Ā
Develops and oversees implementation of the schoolās Student Achievement Improvement Plan.Ā
Supervises and evaluates teaching staff; Manages teacher performance, developing and providing necessary training to support their professional development; Manages Master and Lead Teachers andĀ programs;Ā
Confers with teachers, students, and parents concerning educational and behavioral problems in school; Coordinates with teacher and K12 EnrollmentĀ regardingĀ expulsions andĀ withdrawals;Ā

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Ā Directly supervises 15-30 Full-time Equivalent (FTE) regular employees and/or contractors.⯠Carries out supervisory responsibilitiesĀ in accordance withĀ the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Ā

MINIMUMĀ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Ā
PreviousĀ Supervisory ExperienceĀ
Masterās degree ANDĀ
Five (5) years of educational experience ORĀ
Equivalent combination of education and experienceĀ
Ability to clear required background checkĀ

OTHER REQUIREDĀ QUALIFICATIONS:āÆĀ
Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); WebĀ proficiency.Ā
Ability to travel 20% of the time for meetings, professional development, etc.Ā
