- Take ownership of defined work streams andsupport client assignments; lead smaller or shorter assignments under thesupervision of senior team members, where appropriate.
- Plan and conduct primary and secondaryresearch, including literature reviews, interviews, field surveys, focus group discussions, market research, and data analysis, as required.
- Structureproblems, analyse evidence, and synthesise findings into high-quality reports, presentations,briefs, tools, and recommendations relevant to client needs.
- Support advisory work across financialinclusion themes, including diagnostics, product or channel development,ecosystem assessments, implementation and pilot support, and policy orregulatory analysis.
- Engage professionally with clients andecosystem stakeholders, including financial service providers, regulators,government agencies, development partners, private-sector organisations, and industryactors.
- Participate in and, where appropriate,support the facilitation of client meetings, workshops, field visits, andstakeholder consultations; prepare materials and document decisions andfollow-up actions.
- Coordinate with IFE colleagues andcross-functional MSC teams to ensure smooth delivery, timely communication, andquality outputs. Be willing to travel within Bangladesh and occasionallyinternationally, as assignments require.
- Supportconcept notes, expressions of interest (EOIs), proposals, and technicalapproaches for opportunities from clients, donors, governments, and developmentpartners.
- Conduct market and background research onprospective clients, emerging themes, policy developments, and industry trendsto support business development and practice growth.
- Contributeto MSC's knowledge leadership through focus notes, briefing notes, blogs, casestudies, toolkits, and other publications on inclusive finance topics.
- Contribute ideas and market intelligence tohelp identify and pursue opportunities that expand MSC's inclusive financeadvisory portfolio in Bangladesh.
Requirements
Educational qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in economics,finance, business, public administration, development studies, socialsciences, or a related field.
- 5 years of relevant experience inconsulting or advisory, financial services, development programs, research, ora related field, with exposure to financial inclusion or inclusive finance.
- Exposure to one or more areas of theinclusive finance ecosystem, such as banking and microfinance, digitalfinancial services and payments, sustainable finance, product and marketdevelopment, or ecosystem development.
- Experience delivering projects or definedworkstreams, including planning activities, coordinating stakeholders, managingtimelines, and producing high-quality deliverables.
- Strong primary and secondary researchexperience, with the ability to analyse qualitative and quantitativeinformation and translate evidence into practical recommendations.
- Experience working with financialinstitutions, development partners, government or regulatory stakeholders,private-sector actors, or other ecosystem participants in Bangladesh ispreferred. Regulatory familiarity is an added advantage.
