Overview

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our Water Resources team in New Jersey! The candidate will prepare and oversee hydrology and hydraulics modeling, stormwater management design, flood hazard area and dam safety permitting.

Our holistic approach to water resources projects ensures the best outcome for our clients and the ecosystem.  


Responsibilities

  • Support and/or lead stormwater management projects focused on green infrastructure and low impact development as well as stormwater infrastructure improvements.
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses.
  • Design stormwater management BMP’s (Best Management Practices).
  • Provide supporting calculations and plans for soil erosion and sediment control.
  • Perform flood studies with software such as HEC-RAS.
  • Conduct assessments and rehabilitation designs for dams.
  • Conduct dam breach analysis and hazard classifications.
  • Compile calculations, reports, and plans for flood hazard area and dam safety permitting.
  • Prepare scope and fees for project proposals.
  • Some occasional site visits, as needed. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required. 
  • 7+ years of related water resources experience is required.
  • PE (Professional Engineer) license is required (New Jersey license highly preferred or obtain through reciprocity).
  • Prior experience with NJDEP is a plus. 
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D is also a plus.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.

 

Compensation: $105,210 to $139,020 (depending on qualifications)
