Base Pay Range:
$80,580 - $110,000As an Associate Data Scientist, your essential job functions will include the following:Â
Perform Advanced Modeling & AnalysisÂ
Execute assigned data science projects with defined scope, delivering accurate and timely resultsÂ
Develop and implement statistical and machine learning models under guidance, including regression, classification, clustering and forecasting techniquesÂ
Apply appropriate analytical methods based on provided problem definitions, datasets and evaluation criteriaÂ
Utilize interactive development environments (e.g., notebooks) to explore data, prototype models and validate approachesÂ
Interpret model outputs and assist in translating findings into actionable insights for stakeholdersÂ
Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate analysis, research and code developmentÂ
Perform AI EngineeringÂ
Utilize AI tools and large language models (LLMs) to support analysis, code generation and research tasksÂ
Apply basic prompt engineering techniques to improve outputs from AI-assisted workflowsÂ
Assist in building simple AI-enabled workflows or components under guidanceÂ
Develop familiarity with emerging AI techniques and their application within data science workflowsÂ
Contribute to Data Science ProductsÂ
Contribute to the development and maintenance of data science products, including models, pipelines, reportingÂ
Support implementation of model training, evaluation and output generation workflowsÂ
Assist in documenting data science processes, model assumptions and system behaviorÂ
Generate regular reporting and analysis to support performance monitoring of data science productsÂ
Communicate progress and results to team members and stakeholders as neededÂ
Manage Large Datasets – Cleaning, Transforming, UnderstandingÂ
Clean, transform and prepare large structured and unstructured datasets for analysis and modelingÂ
Write SQL and Python-based transformations to create usable datasets from raw data sourcesÂ
Work with Snowflake and dbt workflows to support development of analytics-ready datasetsÂ
Assist in developing and maintaining data pipelines used in modeling workflowsÂ
Perform exploratory data analysis to understand data characteristics, distributions and potential issuesÂ
Data Science Quality and GovernanceÂ
Follow established software development best practices, including version control, documentation and testing standardsÂ
Write clear, maintainable and testable code for data science workflowsÂ
Assist in validating datasets, model outputs and reporting results for accuracy and consistencyÂ
Participate in code reviews, focusing on syntax correctness and general structureÂ
Ensure reproducibility of analyses through proper documentation and organization of workÂ
Technology and Technical DevelopmentÂ
Develop proficiency in Python as the primary programming language and use R where appropriate for statistical analysisÂ
Utilize standard data science libraries and frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, pandas, numpy)Â
Begin developing modular code practices and reusable functionsÂ
Gain familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) and deployment conceptsÂ
Use AI-assisted tools to improve development speed and code qualityÂ
Thought Development and CollaborationÂ
Build foundational business acumen by understanding how data science outputs support business decision-makingÂ
Communicate findings and progress clearly with team members and stakeholdersÂ
Seek feedback and continuously improve technical and analytical skillsÂ

Position RequirementsÂ
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldÂ
Advanced degree in a quantitative field preferredÂ
0–2 years of experience in data science, analytics, or related roles -OR- advanced degreeÂ
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgencyÂ
Strong intellectual curiosity and desire to learnÂ
Technical SkillsÂ
Strong foundational programming skills in Python; familiarity with R is a plusÂ
Basic understanding of statistical modeling and machine learning conceptsÂ
Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational data systemsÂ
Familiarity with Snowflake, dbt, or modern data platforms is a plusÂ
Exposure to version control practices (Git) and development workflowsÂ

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The total compensation package may also include commission, bonus or profit sharing.
