Bus Driver

We are Sisco Jobs, a recruitment consultancy based in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. We are hiring on behalf of our client for the position of Bus Driver in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. Key Responsibilities

• Operate the college bus safely on assigned routes and schedules.
  
• Transport students and staff safely between designated pickup points and the college.
  
• Follow all applicable traffic regulations and institutional transport procedures.
  
• Perform routine pre-trip checks of tyres, brakes, lights, fuel, and other essential vehicle systems.
  
• Maintain safe driving practices while boarding, transporting, and dropping passengers.
  
• Report vehicle defects, maintenance requirements, accidents, or route-related issues promptly.
  
• Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the assigned college bus.
  
• Coordinate with the college transport team regarding schedules and route requirements.
  

Required Skills

1. Heavy Vehicle Driving: Ability to safely operate a college/passenger bus.
   
2. Passenger Safety: Knowledge of safe boarding, travel, and drop-off procedures.
   
3. Traffic Compliance: Strong understanding of road and traffic regulations.
   
4. Vehicle Inspection: Ability to conduct routine pre-trip safety checks.
   
5. Defensive Driving: Ability to anticipate road hazards and drive responsibly.
   

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with local Trichy routes.
  
• Experience driving buses or other passenger vehicles.
  
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
  

Work Experience Requirements

Experience was not specified in the requirement. Typical requirement: Prior professional experience driving buses, heavy vehicles, or passenger transport vehicles is generally preferred. Experience in school, college, institutional, or staff transportation would be advantageous.
