This is a remote position.
We are looking for two Senior ColdFusion Developers to support a critical 12-month engagement for a large, high-traffic marketplace platform in the DACH region. The platform is built on ColdFusion/Lucee and hosted on AWS, and is planned to migrate to a modern technology stack.
The role will focus on maintaining and stabilizing the existing platform, resolving production issues, supporting AWS infrastructure, and delivering business-critical integrations during the migration period. No further feature development of the legacy platform is planned beyond essential, critical work.
Your Duties
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and stabilize the existing ColdFusion/Lucee platform.
- Handle approximately 8–12 support tickets per week, including bug fixes and maintenance tasks.
- Investigate and resolve support escalations affecting sellers and buyers.
- Maintain and monitor AWS infrastructure.
- Handle approximately 1–2 AWS infrastructure tasks per week.
- Support business-critical development projects and overdue integrations.
- Develop and maintain integrations with partners, ERP systems, and external APIs.
- Work with integrations such as JTL, eBay, Google Merchant Center, and other marketplace or business-critical systems.
- Diagnose and resolve issues affecting platform availability, payments, and critical integrations.
- Manage multiple workstreams and priorities independently.
- Respond to critical P1 production incidents, including platform outages, payment failures, and integration disruptions.
- Provide an initial response to P1 incidents within 30 minutes and work toward resolution within 2 hours.
- Produce and maintain codebase and system documentation as formal project deliverables.
- Support the platform throughout its transition to a modern technology stack.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with ColdFusion/Lucee in production environments.
- Strong experience maintaining and supporting legacy ColdFusion applications.
- Experience working with marketplace platforms or high-traffic e-commerce systems.
- Expert-level MySQL knowledge, including complex schemas and database structures.
- Proven AWS infrastructure knowledge and practical DevOps experience.
- Experience with REST APIs and external marketplace, ERP, or partner integrations.
- Strong debugging and production incident-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities across different workstreams.
- Willingness to respond to critical production issues outside standard business hours.
- Ability to respond to P1 incidents within 30 minutes.
- Willingness to produce codebase and system documentation.
- Availability for a full-time, 12-month engagement.
- Experience with payment systems, marketplace integrations, or migration projects is an advantage.
