Position Overview:
The Construction Project ManagerĀ is responsible forĀ the planning, design, and oversight of workflows for company-owned locations in their assigned region, as well as the communication between the Real Estate and the Construction departments, with guidance and general oversight from theirĀ Director.Ā 

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible knowledge and experience related to project management with a focus on QSR restaurants with highĀ volumes;Ā  orĀ a combination of relevant work experience, education, and/or equivalent Military experienceĀ 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in architecture, engineering, or constructionĀ management, preferredĀ 

  • Understanding site evaluation and due diligence (ie. zoning, title, and physical characteristics), as well as Construction ā€œBest Management Practicesā€Ā 

  • Experience with Budgets and Milestone/Schedule developmentĀ 

  • Must be available to travel on a regular basis to assigned locationsĀ 

  • Overnight travel by car or plane could be up to 50-60% of the timeĀ 

  • MustĀ resideĀ in, or be willing toĀ relocateĀ to assigned regionĀ 

  • This position requires driving, when necessaryĀ 


Location Requirement:Ā 
This position is eligible for remote work within any state Dutch Bros currently resides in (AL, AZ, CA, CO, ID, KS, KY, MO, NM, NV, OK, OR, TN, TX, UT, and WA)

Key Result Areas (KRAs):

Establish and enforce project timeline and ensure project budgets are within bounds:Ā 

  • Review construction plans, phasing, and schedules, whileĀ monitoringĀ budgets and progressĀ 

  • Establish and track project budgets, construction schedules, and all construction costsĀ 

  • Review feasibility analysis, permitting, design, and construction of new stores and special projectsĀ 

  • Expedite development timelines by interacting with and providing guidance to outside Architects, Engineers, General Contractors, and Governmental AgenciesĀ 

  • Responsible for the successful completion of construction remodel projects with emphasis on:Ā Ā 

  • 1) Communication with the internal support team, subcontractors, and vendorsĀ Ā 

  • 2) Customer Service - developing and maintaining relationships with Dutch Bros construction partners during all phases of construction 3) Organization and Management of Projects: review and analyze project drawings and documents, manage costs and profitability, coordinate and manage multiple tasks to ensure successful completion of projectsĀ inĀ  aĀ team-based environmentĀ

CommunicateĀ frequentlyĀ with contractors, team members, vendors, and Franchisees/Operators on the development of plans, their progress, and timelines while continuing to demonstrate DB’s mission and values:Ā 

  • Monitors progress and quality of construction by regularly scheduled site visits providing functionalĀ expertiseĀ and counsel to general contractorsĀ 

  • Leads and/orĀ participateĀ in daily/weekly new store development calls with various team members including but not limited to: Real Estate, Operations, Construction, Store Planning, Merchandising, and SigningĀ 

  • AssistĀ in the development of, and read and interpret said documents and instructions from vendors and other team membersĀ

Provide functionalĀ expertiseĀ and counsel to general contractors and other outside agencies:Ā Ā 

  • Supervise/Manage new construction projects in assigned region for bothĀ Corporate (full scope) and Franchise Development (oversight)Ā 

  • Review sign exhibits with an emphasis on the company’s best interests verifying Branding and Trademarking complianceĀ 

  • ManageĀ remodel oversight that will include repairs, upgrades, equipment installation, parking lot repairs, floor repair, and replacement, image enhancements, and moreĀ 

  • Other duties as assignedĀ

Physical Requirements:

  • In-Office Environment:Ā Must be able to work in a busy, crowded, and loud office with frequent distractions and interruptions

  • Must be able to collaborate in-person with occasional impromptu in-person meetingsĀ 

  • Office Conditions:Ā Adaptability to typical office conditions, which may include exposure to air conditioning, heating, artificial lighting, and varying noise levels

  • Mobility: Ability to sit, stand, reach, twist, stretch, and work at a desk for long stretches.Ā  Must be able to occasionally move or lift office items up to 25 pounds

  • Hearing Requirements:Ā Hearing must be sufficient or correctable to ensure clear understanding of spoken information, including participating in virtual meetings and phone calls. Use of hearing aids or other assistive devices is acceptable if needed.

  • Reading and Writing Proficiency:Ā Ability to read and write in English is essential for processing documents, drafting reports, and following up on necessary actions. Proficiency in written communication is required to handle job-related tasks effectively.

  • Vision Requirements:Ā Vision must be adequate or correctable to perform essential job duties, such as reading documents on a computer screen and using other visual tools. Use of corrective lenses or other measures to meet visual requirements is expected if needed.

  • Technology Proficiency:Ā Must be proficient in operating a computer and other office productivity tools such as printers, scanners, and collaboration software.Ā 

  • Effective Communication:Ā Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders via email, video conferencing, and other in office communication tools.
