Overview
We are looking for a full-time remote Construction Project Manager with residential and commercial project experience who can take ownership of projects across multiple locations in California, Texas, and North Carolina. AlphaHire is recruiting on behalf of a client in the construction industry. This role is responsible for driving project execution from planning through closeout while working closely with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, clients, and internal leadership. The position is ideal for a hands-on PM who understands jobsite realities, scheduling pressure, budget control, and multi-market project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee residential and commercial construction projects across California, Texas, and North Carolina from preconstruction through closeout

  • Build and maintain project schedules, budgets, scopes, and milestone tracking for active construction work

  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, field teams, inspectors, and internal stakeholders to keep projects moving on time and within scope

  • Review drawings, specifications, proposals, change orders, and project documentation for accuracy and execution readiness

  • Track project costs, approve invoices, manage change orders, and report budget risks before they impact profitability

  • Lead regular project meetings with field teams, subcontractors, clients, and leadership to resolve issues and maintain accountability

  • Monitor quality, safety, schedule, and compliance expectations across multiple active job sites

  • Support permitting, inspections, procurement, and material coordination as needed to prevent project delays

  • Maintain clear project records, status updates, and closeout documentation across all assigned projects

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of construction project management experience with direct ownership of residential and commercial projects

  • Experience managing projects across multiple job sites, regions, or markets

  • Strong understanding of construction schedules, budgets, subcontractor management, drawings, specifications, and closeout requirements

  • Experience working with subcontractors, field supervisors, vendors, inspectors, and client-facing project stakeholders

  • Proficiency with construction project management tools, scheduling software, spreadsheets, and digital documentation platforms

  • Ability to manage projects remotely while maintaining strong communication, accountability, and field visibility

  • Must have direct project ownership experience, not only assistant project management or project coordination experience

  • Residential-only or commercial-only experience may be considered, but candidates with both residential and commercial project exposure are strongly preferred

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience.
Benefits may include health insurance, retirement plan options, paid time off, and other company-sponsored programs.
