Customer Solutions Specialist

At Xerxes HydroChain, the Customer Solutions Specialist plays a critical role in turning project opportunities into successful business outcomes. This position serves as the central point of coordination between Territory Sales Managers, engineering teams, distributors, contractors, and consulting partners to advance opportunities through the sales process and deliver exceptional customer support.

Success in this role means identifying qualified project opportunities, maintaining accurate project data, coordinating technical deliverables, reducing customer response times, and helping secure HydroChain projects through effective project management and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities:

Identify and Advance Sales Opportunities

  • Partner with Territory Sales Managers (TSMs) to identify and qualify project-based sales opportunities.
  • Utilize online bid resources and market information to uncover potential conversion opportunities.
  • Evaluate opportunities submitted through distributors and contractors.
  • Develop project-specific action plans that help move opportunities through the sales pipeline.
  • Support opportunities identified by TSMs and contribute to project success from initial qualification through execution.

Manage Projects Through the Sales Lifecycle

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project information within the CRM system.
  • Coordinate project activities with drafting, engineering, and internal support teams.
  • Monitor project status, probability, timelines, and anticipated shipment dates.
  • Review technical deliverables, drawings, and project documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate on pricing strategies and support the development of budgetary and formal quotations.
  • Ensure customers and sales partners receive timely and accurate project information and technical deliverables.
  • Help improve customer response times and overall project execution effectiveness.

Serve as a Trusted Technical Resource

  • Review civil construction plans and specifications to understand project requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to provide project recommendations and technical input.
  • Act as a key liaison between customers, sales personnel, engineers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support the delivery of technical solutions that meet customer and project needs.

Build Strong Stakeholder Relationships

  • Engage with distributors, contractors, engineering firms, consultants, regulators, and other project partners.
  • Foster collaboration across sales, engineering, marketing, manufacturing, accounting, and project management teams.
  • Provide responsive communication and support throughout the project lifecycle.

Drive Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain competitor and market intelligence databases.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Contribute ideas that enhance customer experience and support business growth.

Qualifications

Required

  • 2-4 years of experience in a related field, preferably within commercial construction, civil construction, manufacturing, project coordination, estimating, customer solutions, or inside sales environments.
  • Experience supporting project-based work from opportunity identification through project completion.
  • Ability to understand and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment while supporting teams operating in Eastern Time.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of related industry experience.
  • Civil construction, estimating, engineering, project coordination, or construction management experience.
  • Experience working with CRM systems and project tracking tools.
  • Familiarity with project quoting, construction bidding processes, and technical sales support.
