Design Head – Vehicle Integration (Construction Electric Vehicles) (ID 1403)

Vehicle Architecture & Packaging: Lead the overall spatial layout and packagingof the machine; manage the master vehicle 3D model and layout structure forexcavators and wheel loaders.

 Subsystem Synchronization: Coordinate with the Hydraulics, Powertrain(Battery/Motor), and Structural teams to ensure interference-free integration andoptimal routing of high-voltage cables and hydraulic hoses.

 Weight & CG Management: Maintain strict control over vehicle weight distributionand Center of Gravity (CG) to ensure machine stability, high payload performance,and structural integrity.

 Serviceability & Ergonomics: Design the vehicle layout with a strong focus onoperator visibility, cabin ergonomics, and easy access for maintenance (e.g., batteryswapping/charging, hydraulic filters).

 Design Validation & Clearance: Conduct digital DMU reviews, tolerance stack-upanalysis, and clearance checks; lead the physical prototype assembly to catch andresolve integration issues early.

 NPI Delivery: Drive the integration cycle from the initial concept sketch to full-scaleproduction readiness, ensuring strict adherence to project timelines and safetystandards.

 Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, AutomobileEngineering, or a related technical field.

 Industry Experience: Minimum 8 years of core experience in the ConstructionEquipment (CE) space (Excavators, Wheel Loaders, or Backhoes is a must).

 Expert CAD Packaging: Advanced proficiency in high-end 3D CAD software (CreoParametric/Teamcenter preferred) for complex assemblies, sheet metal, androuting modules.

 Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of heavy machinery structural frames,counterweight balancing, vehicle dynamics, and thermal management layouts.

 EV Familiarity: Understanding of high-voltage safety clearances and clearancerequirements around battery enclosures is highly desirable.

 Soft Skills: Strong cross-functional leadership, exceptional spatial visualization, anda problem-solving mindset to resolve engineering conflicts between teams.
