Job Summary

The Director – Executive Sales Officer within Flagstar Financial & Leasing is responsible for leading strategy, execution, and growth. This position will be accountable to the Sr. Director - Business Segment Head for execution of the segment’s strategy for new business development, client/portfolio exposure management and P&L contribution.

This role will focus on originating, structuring, building relationships with strategic partners, identifying market opportunities, and executing transactions that optimize risk-adjusted returns. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in equipment finance, acquisitions, structured finance, relationship management, and credit risk analysis as well as a strong track record of closing deals with numerous strategic partners.

Pay Range: $113,700 - $151,601 - $186,345

Job Responsibilities:

Business Development and Relationship Management:

  • Develop and manage a portfolio ofĀ strategicĀ partnerships. Cultivate new partnerships and deepen existing relationships through consultative engagement, in-person meetings, and strategic planning.Ā Work closely with Sr. Director toĀ discover,Ā developĀ and approveĀ new potential strategic partnerships.Ā Ā Present new strategic sourcesĀ and relationships for approval.Ā Ā Periodically review performance of existing relationships – identifyĀ changes to enhance performance.Ā 

Revenue Growth and Production Management:

  • DriveĀ equipment financeĀ volume,Ā identifyingĀ opportunities to expand market share. Analyze trends and performance data to meet or exceed production targets and profitability goals.Ā 

Client Experience and Support:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact forĀ strategicĀ partners. Resolve issues, provide product and pricing guidance, and deliver solutions in coordination with internal departments. Ensure high satisfaction and retention among third-partyĀ clientĀ driving repeat business and a strong overall relationship.Ā Ā Ā 

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Risk Management:

  • Serve as key contact and collaborate with underwriting, operations, risk, and compliance teams to ensure that partner activity meets all internal guidelines and regulatory requirements. Act as a liaison toĀ facilitateĀ communication and issue resolution.Ā 

Market Intelligence and Strategy:

  • ExpertĀ onĀ emergingĀ equipmentĀ financeĀ industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changesĀ impactingĀ strategic partners. Share insights with internal stakeholders to inform strategy and enhance Flagstar’s competitive position.Ā Work closely with Sr. Director to set strategic direction based on market intelligence and partner feedback, including market rates.Ā 

  • UsesĀ independent judgement and discretion to make well-thought outĀ decisions.Ā 

  • Analyzes and resolves problems internally and externally to ensure efficient and effective transaction processing.Ā Ā

JOB REQUIREMENTSĀ Ā

Required Qualifications:Ā 

  • Education levelĀ required: ​Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent)​.

  • Minimum experienceĀ required: ​10+ Years​ of experience in equipment leasing,Ā financeĀ and relationship management.Ā 

  • Proven ability to originate and executeĀ transactions withinĀ institutionalĀ and equipment leasingĀ markets.Ā 

  • Strong network within the leasing and financial services industry.Ā Ā 

  • Strong customer service,Ā organizationalĀ & communication/presentation skills.Ā 

  • High degree of comfort in interacting with clients - both internal and external.Ā 

Ā 

Preferred Qualifications:Ā 

  • Education level preferred: ​Master's DegreeĀ (or Postgraduate equivalent)​.Ā 

  • Credit underwriting/financial statement analysis experienceĀ a requirement.Ā 

  • ExcellentĀ understanding of equipment finance pricing tools such as T/Value, Super Trump, HP 12C.Ā 

  • Solid understanding of equipment finance products such as loans, lease purchases, TRACs, FMV’s etc.Ā
