Overview

Nakupuna Companies is seeking an Entry-Level Training Specialist in support of the Department of State (DoS) Bureau of Global Acquisitions (GA). DOS has a robust Acquisition Program with an average annual spend portfolio of ~$12 billion executed through approximately 25,000 contract transactions and $4.7 billion executed through approximately 1,200 federal assistance (grants) awards supporting a diverse mission set. GA reports to the Undersecretary for Management and has three organizational elements to include: Acquisition Management Directorate (GA/AM), Acquisition Policy Directorate (GA/AP), and Federal Assistance Directorate (GA/FAM).

Responsibilities

  • Schedule training sessions and coordinate logistics
  • Maintain training records and documentation
  • Track participant attendance and completion rates
  • Provide refresher training and skills reinforcement sessions
  • Manage knowledge and competency assessments
  • Develop and administer pre- and post-training assessments
  • Conduct skills evaluations and competency testing
  • Provide participant feedback and performance reports
  • Implement continuous improvement processes based on evaluation results
  • Respond to training-related inquiries and technical questions
  • Recommend best practices and industry standards
  • Advise on training strategy and implementation plans
  • Support change management initiatives through training interventions
  • Maintain and update training materials as needed

Qualifications

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Entry-level experience with delivering training to a variety of audiences
  • Entry-level experience in developing and maintaining curricula and other training materials
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Development, Psychology, Education, Communications, or related field required; or training and development related certifications combined with minimum of two (2) years of experience as training and development professional supporting federal government agencies

Location:

  • Washington, DC

Clearance Requirements: This position requires an active Secret security clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen. 

 

Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:

  • Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers.
  • Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.
  • Ability to walk and stand as needed in connection with meetings, conferences, and domestic or international travel.

The Nakupuna Companies use a market-based compensation strategy to ensure that our employees are compensated within applicable market ranges commensurate with multiple factors, including but not limited to the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, and position location. The projected compensation range for this position is $90,000-$110,000. The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Nakupuna Companies' total compensation package for employees.
