POSITION PURPOSE: 

Provide coordination, communication, and oversight for applications within an assigned area of the Epic system as well as direct management of the application analyst team. This position currently oversees beaker, radiant, cupid, Lumens and optime/anesthesia applications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Management

* Maintain the scope, schedule, and quality of the work in their specific application area or team in current and future systems.

* Set clear expectations for team members, including defining what they should do at each phase of projects, upgrades, and maintenance

* Work closely with the project director and other project and application managers to coordinate activities

* Ensure that the business community is engaged in projects and ongoing improvements

* Advise and coach team members by providing guidance on project issues, key success factors, and lessons learned

* Share with team members the positive effects of innovation and system capabilities

* Reinforce the importance of the project together with the executives and the project director, and provide consistent communication to the project team

* Organize resources within the organization

* Motivate and show appreciation for the team

* Appropriately match team member skills to team responsibilities

* Manage the project from an organizational perspective while attending to detailed tasks

Core Responsibilities

* Assist as a support contact for your area

* Identify and troubleshoot issues

* Guide workflow design, build and testing of the system, and analyzing other technical issues associated with Epic software

* Serve as liaison between organizational needs and Epic staff

* Maintain regular communication with Epic representatives, including participating in weekly team meetings

* Work with Epic representatives, your organization's business community, and end users to ensure the system meets the organization's business needs regarding project deliverables and timeline

* Develop an understanding of operational needs to set the direction for the organization's workflows

* Participate in training and work with end users

* Review the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership

* Hold weekly communications with team members to discuss the status of deliverables, shared issues, end‐user concerns, budget, and upcoming milestones

* Own integrated efforts that span multiple applications such as Business Continuity Access, Cutover, Hospital Outpatient Departments, etc.

* Other duties as assigned.

SPECIALIZED KNOW-HOW & REQUIREMENTS

* Bachelor’s degree required  

* Clinical or healthcare experience required

* Management experience strongly preferred

* Position will be expected to become certified in at least one of the application areas within 3 months of Epic corporate training

Compensation Range

$104,520.00 - $156,780.00
