A US multinational in international payments and currency risk, working with corporate clients across more than 20 markets. The company is now opening Central Europe, and this is the first hire on the ground for the Czech and Polish markets.
This is not a seat in a desk that already runs. It is the desk.
The opportunity
We are looking for an experienced FX Dealer to build and lead the Central European operation.
You will start from one of the company's existing European offices, working alongside the local team while the region gets off the ground, and you will move to a local office once the market is established. You will report to the Country Manager.
What you will do:
Build and manage the corporate client book across the Czech Republic and Poland
Quote, price and execute FX and derivatives transactions, spot, forwards and hedging structures
Own every client relationship in the region during the launch phase
Lead the build of the local team as the desk grows, starting with your first sales hire
Shape how the company enters two new markets: sectors, pricing approach, positioning
What we are looking for
Solid experience as an FX dealer or trader with corporate clients, in a brokerage, payments or banking environment
Hands on experience with derivatives, not only spot execution
Your own client portfolio, with real relationships you can develop from day one
Czech or Polish, plus English at professional working level
Willingness to relocate temporarily to the launch office in Europe
Someone who wants to build something rather than inherit it
It will be a plus if
You have opened a market or built a desk from scratch before
You have both Czech and Polish market knowledge
You speak German
