The RF Remote Sensing Systems & Technology Section (363) Advances science, technology, and instruments for RF microwave and submillimeter scientific investigations.聽 This section is responsible for聽concept development, design, implementation, algorithm development, data聽processing聽and operations of spaceborne and suborbital RF instruments.聽 We provide radar and radiometer聽expertise聽for broader NASA goals and sensors, such as landing radars.


We are seeking a self-motivated, highly organized, and service-oriented individual to serve as a Group Staff Assistant II. This position provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to Section Management and multiple technical groups within Section 363 and Business Administration Team (7363).


The position requires adaptability and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment where interruptions, changing priorities, and time-sensitive assignments are common.


As a member of the Section 363 Business Administration Team, Staff Assistant II will report to the Group Supervisor, who also serves as the Section Business Manager.


Tasks include but are not limited to:

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Preparing and processing complex foreign and domestic travel, including generating travel reports and聽assisting聽with compliance requirements聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Processing affiliate and visitor badge requests for domestic and foreign guests, and escorting visitors as needed聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Handling procurement activities including 聽Pcard聽purchasing and iProcurement orders聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Scheduling and coordinating meetings in Outlook, managing conference room calendars,聽and聽arranging聽Microsoft Teams聽meetings聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Preparing and editing presentations, graphics, documentation, and website inputs聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Coordinating office moves,聽new聽hire聽preparations, and onboarding/ offboarding聽support for employees, affiliates, and foreign nationals聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assisting聽with recruiting efforts for Early Career, Experienced, and Contractor hires, including interview scheduling and escorting聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Supporting ergonomic evaluations,聽Work Authorization (WAM)聽updates, labor and nonlabor聽cost transfer聽processing, and other ad hoc assignments聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Maintaining and updating Section resources, including Wiki pages, SharePoint, and聽Alfresco聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assisting聽in the planning and coordination of Section seminars, workshops,聽and聽events聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Helping ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and safety requirements.


Qualifications:聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Typically requires a High School diploma with a minimum of 6 years of related experience; Associate degree with a minimum of 1 year of related experience; related required training

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Experience in the secretarial/administrative profession with strong organizational and interpersonal skills聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to work effectively under pressure on multiple complex tasks and meet deadlines with聽high-quality聽results聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Strong planning, scheduling, and coordination skills聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Proactive聽self-starter聽with initiative to streamline processes and improve workflows聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Excellent written and verbal communication skills聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Good judgment in evaluating situations and determining聽appropriate resolutions聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel and provide outstanding customer service
