Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping / Laundry Aide to help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. This role plays a key part in infection control and overall resident satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas
- Perform laundry duties (wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens/clothing)
- Sweep, mop, and maintain floors throughout the facility
- Sanitize surfaces including handrails, fixtures, and high-touch areas
- Empty trash and manage waste disposal properly
- Follow infection control and safety protocols
- Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively
- Maintain organized housekeeping carts and supply areas
- Report safety concerns and supply needs promptly
- Provide excellent customer service with a positive attitude
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Housekeeping experience required (healthcare or long-term care preferred)
- Compassion for an underserved population
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
