Our client is a pharmaceutical manufacturing companycommitted to maintaining high standards of product quality, regulatorycompliance, operational efficiency, and employee development.

 

Scope

 

The Human & Asset Resource Managerwill be responsible for managing the full spectrum of human resource activitieswhile overseeing the effective utilisation, tracking, and reporting of companyassets. The role will ensure that HR practices, workforce planning, performancemanagement, and resource utilisation align with business objectives andapplicable Ghanaian labour, FDA, WHO, and GMP requirements.

 

 KeyResponsibilities 

  • Develop and implementeffective recruitment strategies for technical and non-technical positions.
  • Manage the end-to-endrecruitment and selection process, oversee employee onboarding, induction, andsuccession planning.
  • Manage employeegrievances, disciplinary matters, and workplace conflicts in line with companypolicies and applicable labour regulations.
  • Promote a positive,productive, and compliant workplace environment.
  • Develop and implementemployee performance appraisal systems aligned with organisational objectivesand GMP requirements.
  • Establish and monitorKPIs to measure employee productivity, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Identify employee skilland competency gaps and coordinate appropriate training and developmentprogrammes.
  • Build relationships withuniversities, professional bodies, and training institutions for specialisedlearning opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance withthe Ghana Labour Act and applicable FDA, WHO, and GMP requirements.
  • Develop, review, andimplement HR policies and procedures in line with regulatory and organisationalrequirements.
  • Maintain accurate andup-to-date employee records and documentation to ensure audit readiness.
  • Oversee the tracking,utilisation, maintenance, and reporting of company assets and ensure effectiveallocation and utilisation of resources.
  • Implement and maintaindigital systems to improve HR and asset management processes.
  • Provide workforce data andadvise management on workforce planning, organisational development, employeeperformance, and HR-related matters.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree inHuman Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or arelated field.
  •  Minimum 5–7 years ofprogressive HR management experience, ideally within the pharmaceutical,healthcare, or manufacturing sector.
  •  Professionalcertification such as CIPD, SHRM, or IHRMP Ghana is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge ofGhanaian labour laws, HR policies, and regulatory compliance.
  •  Practical understandingof WHO/GMP requirements and their application within a manufacturingenvironment.
  • Experience using HRISand digital HR management systems.
  • Strong knowledge ofperformance management, employee relations, recruitment, training, andworkforce planning.
  • Strong analytical,organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to workindependently and effectively engage with employees and management at alllevels.
