POSITION SUMMARY
The Implementation Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing the end-to-end implementation process for new clients or major program changes for existing clients. This role ensures seamless onboarding and integration of PBM services, aligning with client requirements, industry standards, and internal capabilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Implementation Project Management
- Lead implementation projects for new clients, products, or services within specified timelines.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, including milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including IT, account management, operations, and compliance, to execute implementations.
- Client Onboarding and Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during implementation.
- Gather and analyze client requirements to design customized PBM solutions.
- Facilitate client meetings, workshops, and status updates to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
- Technical Integration
- Collaborate with IT teams to configure client systems, including eligibility files, benefit designs, and claims processing workflows.
- Test and validate system configurations to ensure accuracy and functionality before go-live.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical or process-related issues during implementation.
- Process Optimization
- Develop and document implementation processes, templates, and best practices.
- Identify opportunities to streamline implementation workflows and improve efficiency.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Ensure implementations comply with regulatory requirements and PBM standards.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews to validate successful deployment of solutions.
- Post-Implementation Support
- Oversee the transition from implementation to ongoing account management.
- Provide initial post-go-live support and address early-stage operational issues.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Information Systems, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience considered.
- 3–5+ years of experience in PBM, healthcare, or similar industries.
- Proven experience in managing complex implementation projects.
- Familiarity with PBM operations, including claims processing, benefits setup, and formulary management.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and internal teams.
- Analytical thinking with a focus on problem-solving and decision-making.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Technical aptitude, particularly with healthcare data systems and file integration processes.
- Client-centric mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality service.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Adaptability to changing client needs and evolving PBM industry trends.
- Attention to detail and commitment to meeting deadlines.
