Position Summary

This position supports the development and management of company site assets by securing and maintaining site control agreements. This role performs title and property due diligence, obtains preliminary title reports and recorded documents, prepares comparable property analyses, and supports lease negotiations. The position is also responsible for administering executed lease agreements, including tracking critical dates, issuing notices and extensions, processing lease-related payments, and maintaining accurate site records and tracking systems to ensure ongoing compliance and operational readiness.

 

 

 

 

Essential Functions

 

  • Maintain lease terms, including recording and ensuring timely lease payments
  • Support annual land payments budget efforts
  • Support Land Manager in site control acquisition efforts
  • Process purchase orders in SAP.
  • Keep leases current via Extensions, Notices, etc.
  • Prepare and manage lease (and other) memorandums
  • Contact and maintain relationships with landowners and lessors regarding lease administration, document execution and payment coordination.
  • Organize and maintain lease records. Compile data into spreadsheets and various reports.
  • Prepare letters of Intent, Option Agreements, Leases, Amendments, and other real estate documents, coordinate review and revisions with legal team.
  • Coordinate with legal, engineering, permitting, GIS and finance teams to support site control milestones.
  • Assist in evaluating lease economics, property evaluation and purchase pricing.
  • Prepare project land budgets and payment forecasts.
  • Research, examine and assess fee and mineral ownership in county grantor/grantee records, tract indices, tax assessor records, clerk and recorder records, and records owned and held by the title company(s).
  • Provide title review and due diligence support as necessary

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

  • Must have working understanding of real estate, land and legal documents and instruments.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and be able to work independently.
  • Experience with legal descriptions, understanding survey procedures and survey documents a plus.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English at a level which will permit the employee to accurately understand and communicate information to safely and efficiently perform the job duties.
  • Must be able to use and acquire knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and GIS software. Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and use of the Internet.
  • Overnight travel may be required in performance of the duties assigned.
  • Knowledge of title review and due diligence experience a plus

 

 

 

Physical Requirements

  • The ability to work in an office environment.
  • This position requires sitting 80% of the time and standing and walking 20% of the time.
