Scheduled Weekly Hours

POSITION PURPOSE:    

Prepares processes and cleans linen for Medical Center, Main Clinic and the Health Centers service accounts according to accepted Healthcare industry standards following BSI protocols.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Process and clean contaminated linen according to BSI protocols.
• Operates computerized laundry equipment.
• Process linen via mechanical or manual functions according to BSI standards.
• Prepare linen for CGH Couriers to transport to CGH Health Centers.
• Prepare linen carts for delivery to the hospital.
• Examines linen for quality (i.e. stains and wear).
• Performs other linen cleaning related duties.
• Weigh all clean linen and contaminated linen carts being transported to and from the hospital.

SPECIALIZED KNOW-HOW & REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Illinois Operators License preferred.
