Loan Recovery Officer

Kolomoni Microfinance Bank (Gambia) Limited is aCBG-licensed microfinance institution serving customers across The Gambiathrough a growing branch network. We are recruiting Recovery Officers tostrengthen our Credit & Recovery function.

You will manage a portfolio of customers with overdue loans— making contact, visiting businesses in the field, establishing why repaymenthas stalled, negotiating realistic commitments within approved limits, andfollowing through until the account is back on track. It is a field-facing,target-driven role with real accountability from the first month.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Follow upassigned customers with overdue repayments by telephone, SMS and field visit.
  
• Secureclear repayment commitments and follow them through to payment.
  
• Visitcustomers to confirm business status and identify available repayment sources.
  
• Spotearly warning signs and escalate high-risk accounts promptly.
  
• Maintainaccurate recovery records that reconcile with the Bank's systems.
  
• Deliveragainst monthly recovery, portfolio-quality and activity targets.
  

Requirements

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• WAEC/WASSCEas a minimum; a diploma or degree in a business, finance or related disciplineis an advantage.
  
• 0–1 yearof experience. Fresh graduates and school leavers are encouraged to apply.
  
• Exposureto microfinance, banking, collections, sales, customer service or fieldoperations is an advantage.
  
• Aconfident communicator who can hold a difficult conversation without damagingthe relationship.
  
• Comfortableworking in the field and willing to travel within the assigned area.
  
• Numerate,well organised, resilient, and personally accountable for results.
  
• Unquestionableintegrity — the role handles customer information and financial commitmentsdaily.
