Maintenance Assistant – Full-Time | Up to $25/Hour

Mission Valley Post Acute is hiring a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to join our team full-time.

The Maintenance Assistant helps keep our facility safe, clean, comfortable, and well-maintained for our residents, families, visitors, and staff. Position Details

  • Position: Maintenance Assistant

  • Employment Type: Full-Time

  • Location: Mission Valley Post Acute

  • Pay:Up to $25.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist with routine maintenance, repairs, and upkeep throughout the facility.

  • Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repair tasks.

  • Maintain resident rooms, common areas, offices, and outdoor areas.

  • Inspect equipment, fixtures, and facility areas and report maintenance concerns promptly.

  • Respond to maintenance requests and complete work orders in a timely manner.

  • Assist with preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections.

  • Help ensure the building, grounds, and equipment remain safe and properly maintained.

  • Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies in an organized manner.

  • Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.

  • Support facility safety, fire prevention, and emergency preparedness requirements.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

  • Work closely with the Maintenance Director and facility leadership.

  • Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous maintenance experience preferred.

  • Experience in skilled nursing, healthcare, apartment, hotel, commercial, or building maintenance is a plus.

  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repairs.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools.

  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Professional communication skills and the ability to interact respectfully with residents, families, visitors, and staff.

  • Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and supplies as required.

  • Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents.
