Required Degree: PhD in mathematics or a related field.

The required degree must be completed by the start date.

Duties and expectations: As a professorial faculty member, you will spend 40% of your time teaching, 40% of your time doing research, and 20% in service. A typical teaching assignment in the department is currently 4 courses per academic year, primarily during Fall and Winter semesters. We expect you to teach both graduate and undergraduate courses. In addition to teaching, you will conduct independent research, publish research papers, give research presentations at conferences and institutions, and mentor students at the undergraduate, master’s, and Ph.D. levels. Also, you will be expected to fulfill service responsibilities within the department and the university, and to support the goals and missions of the university, college, and department.
