Job DetailsJob Location: KSThe Ministry Data Specialist plays a key role in equipping the ministries of Grace Church by ensuring the data behind the scenes is accurate, accessible, and actionable across the systems the church relies on. Working alongside the I.T. Team and reporting to the I.T. Director, this person supports ministry leaders and staff across all campuses through reliable reporting, careful data stewardship, and a desire to make ministry easier across all ministry areas. Responsibilities/Duties Follow and develop processes necessary to ensure the integrity and accuracy of data residing in the church database Conduct regular audits of database records to identify duplicates, incomplete entries, and other data inconsistencies, and take corrective action to maintain data integrity Ensure that content is up to date in the church database so that information is displayed correctly on the Grace Church Website and App Actively engage with the Rock Project Team to assist with documentation of processes related to the church database and website Actively participate in the church database community, keep up to date with upcoming software releases, and apply this knowledge to church systems and processes Maintain the integrity and accuracy of user, group, and access information within the organization’s cloud productivity and identity environment Conduct regular audits of accounts, group memberships, licenses, and shared resources across the organization’s cloud environment, taking corrective action to keep records accurate and access updated Coordinate user onboarding and offboarding across all church systems, ensuring accounts and access are set up and removed accurately and promptly as staff and volunteers join, change roles, or transition off Support ministry leaders with event promotion and registration processes Recruit, coordinate, and lead volunteers who support data and church system tasks Serve as the point of contact for background check requests, consulting with requestors when needed to confirm the check is necessary and the appropriate version is selected Serve as the point of contact for room reservation management Provide additional support to the Church Management System Coordinator with generating and distributing reports to church leadership and staff Assist in developing, scheduling, and delivering training for ministry leaders and staff on the church database and related tools Help ensure that bulk email communication is proofread, articulate, and has a Grace look and feel prior to approving communication to be distributed Assist with database and website projects as needed Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the I.T. Director QualificationsSkills/Experience Good organizational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy Great relational skills: friendly, calm, and professional Minimum 2–3 years of experience with database management Hands-on experience with Rock RMS or a comparable church management system preferred Proficient with cloud productivity and collaboration tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams) Familiarity with cloud account and identity administration—provisioning, deprovisioning, and group or license management—preferred Self-starter able to juggle requests from multiple campuses and ministry teams, prioritize competing needs, and follow through   Expectations Accept and support the Grace Church Vision and Values Exhibit a servant’s heart and willingness to get the job done well and on time Ensure good stewardship of ministry funds and resources Always act as a positive representative of Grace Church Maintain complete confidentiality with all sensitive pieces of information Exhibit a heart of passion, humility, and integrity Value and pursue an intimate relationship with God Pursue continuous personal and professional growth Have fun and be a great team player
