The Operational Excellence Data Analyst is responsible for delivering data-driven insights that support strategic decision-making, revenue growth, and operational efficiency across Monro’s business operations.

This role focuses on collecting, integrating, analyzing, and visualizing data from multiple systems to enable accurate reporting, forecasting, and performance measurement. In addition to Operations, this position partners closely with IT, Finance, Merchandising, and Marketing to ensure data integrity, scalable analytics solutions, and continuous process improvement, with a demonstrated ability to deliver measurable results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, validate, and integrate data from multiple sources including POS systems, AWS, Snowflake, and Business Central.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines to ensure accurate, consistent, and scalable reporting.
  • Partner with IT and Finance to align data definitions, structures, and reporting methodologies.
  • Build advanced analytical and forecasting models to measure and predict revenue and profit growth opportunities.
  • Conduct scenario analysis and simulations to evaluate the impact of KPI changes on business performance.
  • Analyze performance across customers, channels, and geographies to identify key revenue drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and self-service reporting tools using Power BI.
  • Automate recurring reports and analyses to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Provide Sales and business teams with actionable, data-driven insights to support strategy development and execution.
  • Review and analyze data prior to fulfilling reporting requests, including providing insights, trends, and observations related to data usage.
  • Establish and maintain a structured process for end users and decision-makers to request reports and data extracts.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and recommend improvements to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for enhancing and maintaining customized in-house analytics and reporting tools.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent education and professional experience.
  • Prior experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or operational reporting preferred.

 

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis techniques.
  • Strong experience with Snowflake, AWS, and Power BI for data modeling, reporting, and analytics.
  • Working knowledge of data integration, ETL processes, and data pipeline development.
  • Ability to manage, analyze, and interpret large, complex datasets from multiple source systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with a structured approach to analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results by translating data and insights into actionable business recommendations.
  • Experience developing dashboards and self-service reporting solutions for diverse business users.
  • Strong understanding of key business and financial metrics, including revenue, margin, and operational KPIs.
  • Ability to conduct scenario analysis and performance modeling to support decision-making.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional environments, including IT, Finance, Sales, and Operations.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • High attention to detail with a strong commitment to data accuracy, integrity, and governance.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify process inefficiencies and recommend automation or optimization solutions.

 

Work Environment & Physical Requirements: 

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, and fax machines. Position requires incumbent to see, read, hear, speak, reach, bend, sit/stand for prolonged periods of time at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
