The Practice Operations Manager, Pediatrics is responsible for overseeing the daily operational functions of pediatrics outpatient services, ensuring efficient, high-quality, patient- and family-centered care delivery. This role provides operational leadership, drives process improvement initiatives, manages departmental resources, and collaborates with clinical and administrative leaders to support strategic objectives, regulatory compliance, patient experience, and financial performance

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE JOB:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Nursing, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive healthcare operations, hospital administration, or healthcare leadership experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of management or supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading operational improvement initiatives and managing complex healthcare workflows.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Experience with budgeting.  
  • Strong analytical, financial, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
  • Strong business acumen.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), Public Health (MPH), or related field.
  • Experience in pediatric healthcare, children’s hospitals, or academic medical centers.
  • Experience with hospital quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance programs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of healthcare operations, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards.
  • Ability to lead change and drive organizational performance.
  • Strong project management and strategic planning skills.
  • Proficiency with healthcare data analysis, reporting, and operational metrics.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships across clinical and administrative teams.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional patient and family experiences.

Pay transparency:  St. Joseph’s Health provides a salary range to comply with New Jersey Law.  The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc.” The salary range does not include incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.
