The Production Technician (PT) is responsible for the safe, efficient operation and surveillance of oil and gas production facilities. This role ensures reliable production through disciplined operations, effective troubleshooting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Execute all work in compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirementsÂ
- Operate and maintain assigned production facilities, including startups, shutdowns, and routine adjustmentsÂ
- Monitor facility performance using field observations and surveillance tools; identify and respond to abnormal conditionsÂ
- Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions within scope of responsibilityÂ
- Utilize digital surveillance tools (e.g., SCADA, PI, field mobility platforms) to optimize production and identify riskÂ
- Maintain working knowledge of facility systems, including separation, compression, and flow pathsÂ
- Support artificial lift operations through understanding of system impacts on surface performanceÂ
- Communicate effectively through shift handovers, status updates, and escalation of issuesÂ
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including IOC, maintenance, engineering, and vendorsÂ
- Complete required documentation, reporting, and data entry accurately and on timeÂ
- Prioritize daily activities based on safety, production impact, and operational riskÂ
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance safety, reliability, and efficiencyÂ
- Engage in T3 training program and actively progress through competency development levelsÂ

Minimum QualificationsÂ

- Previous oil & gas or industrial operations experienceÂ
- Familiarity with production facilities, compression, or artificial lift systemsÂ
- Experience with SCADA systems, PI, or other surveillance toolsÂ
- Technical certification or relevant vocational trainingÂ
- Strong computer skills and experience with field mobility platformsÂ

Work Environment & ScheduleÂ
- Field-based role with travel between production facilitiesÂ
- May require on-call rotation, overtime, and weekend work as neededÂ
