Job Summary: The Radiology Equipment Coordinator is primarily responsible for coordinating all equipment service, maintenance and tracking for compliance. This role promotes safety, reduces costs, meets regulatory standards, and supports staff.

Minimum Education: Associate's degree, Technical, or Vocational school degree.

Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: R.T.(R)(ARRT) Registered Technologist, Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or (CBET) Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician - AAMI Credentials Institute (ACI). Valid Driver's License, Motor Vehicle Report and proof of vehicle liability insurance in the amount required by Saint Francis Health System (SFHS) guidelines.

Work Experience: Minimum 3 years of related experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and other applicable software. Knowledge of Radiology Equipment and terminology. Sound knowledge of accrediting and regulatory standards. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal that present clear and concise information. Ability to be proficient with identifying equipment issues, and the ability to properly document work performed. Ability to interact with various levels of staff, including upper management, on a professional level. Sound ability to maintain professional and courteous demeanor and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Assumes responsibility for all Radiology equipment service and maintenance records. Approves payment for invoices, closes work orders, enters biomed tickets, and issues purchase orders. Coordinates and schedules equipment maintenance, repairs, and services including lead garments. Oversees the lead garment management system and maintains records for compliance. Maintains and updates a current procedure manual. Reviews error reports, queues, and system logs. Provides feedback and updates to the individuals or sections reporting a problem. Performs initial trouble shooting before coordinating repairs. Performs occasional deliveries of equipment and installation of simple equipment. Pulls reports and provides reports as needed. Monitors and tracks costs of equipment maintenance. Maintains and follows regulatory standards and practices.

Decision Making: Independent judgment in planning sequence of operations and making minor decisions in a complex technical or professional field.

Working Relationships: Coordinates activities of others (does not supervise). Coordinates and leads others in same work performed (does not supervise). Works directly with patients and/or customers. Works with internal and/or external customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff.
