The role involves determining Council Tax and Business Rates liability, awarding discounts and exemptions, and providing advice to the public.

We are seeking multiple Revenues Officers to join our expanding resilience team on a permanent, full-time basis. Roles are offered on a remote basis.

Duties include:

To determine Council Tax/Business Rates liability in accordance with relevant primary legislation and case law
To have and maintain a working knowledge of the Local Government Finance Act 1992 and case law
Determine and award discounts and exemptions in accordance with primary legislation and case law
Gather information, explain decisions, and provide advice to the public and their representatives by email, letter, and telephone regarding Council Tax liability
Deal with all aspects of the collection and enforcement of Council Tax/Business Rates
