Project Manager – Theatrical Rigging

Location: Los Angeles, CA

The Opportunity

Theater Outsource is recruiting a Project Manager for a leading entertainment-rigging, design, fabrication, and installation company in the Los Angeles area.

This role is ideal for someone with direct theatrical rigging project-management experience who enjoys owning projects from planning through fabrication, installation, closeout, and client training. Experience supporting theme parks, museums, or other complex entertainment environments is a plus.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage multiple theatrical rigging and entertainment-technology projects simultaneously.

  • Own project scope, schedules, budgets, milestones, deliverables, and project documentation.

  • Lead planning meetings and coordinate internal teams, clients, engineers, contractors, vendors, and installers.

  • Track project progress, identify risks early, and adjust plans to keep work on schedule and within budget.

  • Communicate project status, key decisions, challenges, and next steps clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Coordinate design, fabrication, installation, project turnover, closeout, and client training.

  • Support a collaborative, solutions-focused project environment.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience managing theatrical rigging projects or closely related entertainment-technology installations.

  • Strong understanding of theatrical rigging equipment, fabrication, field installation, and construction/project-management fundamentals.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage scope, budget, schedule, and multiple active projects at once.

  • Strong organizational, written, verbal, and client-facing communication skills.

  • Comfort using project-management tools and Microsoft Office.

  • A practical, team-oriented approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
