JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking Rock Trenching Operators to join our growing team. This is a full-time traveling position supporting projects across multiple regions. Qualified candidates will have at least 1 year of rock trenching experience and demonstrate the ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with company standard operating procedures. Preference will be given to candidates with experience operating or familiarity with Tesmec or Vermeer trenchers and Topcon GPS systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate Rock Trencher safely and efficiently to achieve clean, accurate, and unobstructed trenching
• Perform daily equipment maintenance including fueling, checking fluids, greasing, and routine inspections
• Conduct welding as needed (daily/weekly) to maintain production readiness
• Utilize Topcon GPS systems for machine control, layout, and as-built documentation
• Perform QA/QC checks to ensure trench dimensions meet project specifications
• Complete daily reports and documentation as required
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 1+ year of rock trenching experience
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds, work on your feet for extended periods, and work outdoors year-round in varying conditions
• Willingness to work 10+ hour shifts, including overtime and weekends as needed
• Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• $30-40 per hour based on experience with overtime opportunities
