Kinder Nannies & Staff is delighted tosupport one of our long‑standing, genuinely lovely families in Notting Hill.They currently employ two of our rota nannies, and all are extremely happy.They are now seeking to replace one of the nannies who has to leave due to achange in personal circumstances. They are therefore looking for a new specialrota nanny to join their household team for a long‑term partnership.

About theFamily

This is a warm, grounded, and welcominghousehold with two delightful school‑aged daughters. The girls are kind,bright, outdoorsy, and thrive with a nanny who is loving, calm, and fullyengaged in their world. The family also has a cat and two friendly dogs, so agenuine pet lover is essential.

Mum works full‑time and is wonderfully open,kind, and easy to collaborate with. The role involves a natural blend of soleand shared care, and the nanny will be a trusted part of the parenting team.

The Role

Rota: 1 week on / 1 week off, 24/7
Accommodation: Live‑in during working week; live‑out on off‑week
Travel: The family travels during school holidays (Christmas, Easter, summer). Nanny is generally not required, so you will have additional time off.
Driving: Confident driver required for school runs, activities, and playdates.
Start:ASAP
Location: Notting Hill – nanny must live within a short-ish commute for off‑weeks.

During school hours, the nanny will supportthe smooth running of the household, including:

Light organisational tasks
Errands (e.g., birthday presents, school admin)
Dog walking
Tidying and maintaining children’s areas
Preparing nutritious meals for the girls
Ensuring uniforms, school bags, and weekly logistics are always ready

The family employs a housekeeper and cleaner,so heavy housework is not required. But a genuine muck -in where neededattitude is essential.

This rota position is 24/7 on a 1 week rota schedule. LiveIn when on rota and live out when off rota. But nanny should live within shortcommute of London. Mum works full time and sometimes travels for work, therewill be a mixture of sole and shared care and occasional proxy parenting. Overschool holidays Christmas, Easter and summer the family is often away. Theywould like their nanny to join them some of the time. At these times the rota period might change temporarily, toallow for a longer period of time away (2 weeks or so)

Why ThisRole Is Special

This is a genuinely happy, stable, andappreciative household. They value their staff, treat them with kindness, andwant their nanny to feel at home and part of the family team. Mum is supportiveof the nanny having personal time during school hours (gym, walk, meeting afriend). If mum is around in the evening, she is often happy for nanny to outand meet friends.

Mum works and this role is a mix of sole care and sharedcare. You need to be ok with mum being around. Mum is really lovely, easy tochat to, open minded and very kind.

They are looking for a flexibly minded, down to earth nannywho is happy to muck in. Someone with the right attitude, putting the familyand in particular girls first is essential.

The children are very outdoorsy, so a nanny who is genuinelyoutdoorsy too would be important for them. They are allowed limited screen timeat the weekends, and sugar is not forbidden. A balance is important.

The family is ready to interview and trialimmediately.

Your previous nanny roles must demonstrate longevity.

You are more likely to be selected for interview if you have previously worked a rota position and worked with children of these ages and you are yourself an outdoorsy, active person with a sunny personality - you would fit in well.

Requirements

Requirements

Fluent English speaking nanny

Confident driver (car provided)

Demonstrate longevity in your recent roles (working for min2 or 3 years for a family)

Must have previous experience of travelling with your nannyfamily.

Must be ok with family's 2 dogs (1 med-large, other small)and cat

Experience with children aged 6-9 yrs

Previous rota experience and / or live in experience is greatly preferred but not essential

Had considerable experience in sole charge of 2 youngchildren and also with shared care.

Proxy parenting experience very useful.

Living within short commute of London

Up to date Enhanced DBS and be on the DBS update service.

Recent Paediatric First Aid certificate (within 3 yrs)

Right to work in UK

Full passport for international travel

Good references for recent and relevant nanny work and jobsthat have each lasted a good length of time.

Able to run after young children

Be available long term

Must be tidy and clean and happy to keep home environmenttidy and clean

Must be happy to muck in and do household related jobs anderrands while children at school (mum is ok for you to also go to the gym or gofor a walk once other tasks are completed)
